The Children Revue SYLABA

     The children Revue "Sylaba" was founded in 1984 at The Cultural Center in Wyszków. Mr and Mrs Zdunek, who have been The company's artistic managers since October 2007, initated The Revue. Now Mrs Irena Zdunek is The manager of The Revue, attens to choreography and takes care of music.

     The main hitherto achievements of The Revue:

  • Five-time prizewinner of The Garden Party "Friendship Colours" heid in Zielona Góra (including The two-time awarded cup of The Minister of Culture and Art).
  • Five-time prizewinner at The Festival of Dance and Song in Konin (including five "Applause" awards).
  • Ten-time prizewinner at The Culture Festival of Schoolchildren in Kielce (including six "Golden Fir" awards; two "Main Awards"; "Grand Prix" in 1996 and "Polish Television Grand Prix" in 1998).
  • The winner of The "Main Award" and The title "Festival Revelation" at The 8th International Festival of Arts "Slavonic Bazaar" in Odessa in 1998.
  • Representative of Poland at The following festivals: The 1st International Festival of Dance Companies in Warsaw (1994); The 5th Festival "Saules Zakis" in Latvia (1997); The International Child Festival "Verdinotte" in Italy (1998), twice (1999 and 2000) at The International Festival "Il tralcio d'Oro" in Italy.
  • On October 21, 1998, The Revue "Sylaba" was granted an audience with Pope Paul II. The Concert "The Planet of Joy" for queens and The first ladies of The world in The Great Theatre in Warsaw on September 27, 1998, was one of The most magnificent events.

  • In The year 2000 The Revue and Uccio de Santis recorder a 40-episode series "Corri... da Uccio" for Italian TV.
  • The Revue won The Main Prize during The International Festival of Young Talents in Triest in 2001 - Primo Premio.
  • It was granted "Premio Internazionale" by Associazione Muzico-Culturale "Crisalide" for international Poland-Italy cooperation in 2002.
  • It did two concerts tours: Crisalide Tour (2001) and Mudu in Tour (2002) in Italy.
     The Revue has got about 250 songs of its own recorded at The Polish Radio and Television Studio S-4 and D&DJ.J. Dobrzyński, many TV recordings broadcast by Polish Television.

     Since it was founded, The children Revue "Sylaba" has given about 2500 concerts in Poland, but also abroad including Germany, Russia, The Czech Republic, Italy and Lotvia, Ukraine and Belarus. It has been a frequent guest on The air of The Polish Radio and Television.
     Regularly at The beginning of each year The Revue gives its first public performance, which is at The same time The inauguration of a new artistic season and The promotion of a new photographic release.
     At present The company is made up of about 170 children and teenagers, including a group of 50 at The age of 6 to 17.
